My grandparents, Louis ("Louie") and Louise Poltevecque, were married for 67 hard-working years. My father Robert L. Bishop was their only child.
Louie and Louise were also part of the first generation to be able to buy a brand new product: an inexpensive, portable, hand-held camera. Their parents documented their early days with the occasional rather formal studio photograph, but Louie and Louise took pictures of Bob from his baby days. At the end of their lives, they passed those photos on to me. I've collected and labeled them in this pictorial biography.
