The Tom Bishop Band
When you hear of a musician playing all the different instruments on a recording, you usually think of people like Paul McCartney or Stevie Wonder. But I like to think I've taken this art form to a new level, creating complex, full-band arrangements with drums, bass, guitars, keyboards, harmonica, and percussion. I consider it a refreshing change from the now-common method of purchasing prefab background tracks that reduce the performer to little more than a karaoke singer who plays an instrument. While my approach takes not only a lot of talent but a lot of time--two days of work for every minute of music you hear on stage--I feel that the result is worth the effort.
