The title cut of the album was the first song written, nearly a decade before the last. It's the only song for which I've written the words and melody without an instrument, instead singing it a capella for the bears in Glacier National Park. The "friend" referred to was Warren Murray, who had cerebral palsey and fell down a lot. His answer to what it was like to take a tumble so often is the basis for the song. While most of the tracks are the ones I recorded in 2004, I recently updated the percussion and vocal tracks. |
