Enjoy
The Ride |

Finished in early 2014, this collection of songs is the closest I've ever come to recording an entire, coherent album's worth of songs. A couple of songs ("Enjoy The Ride" and "It's Not Looking Good") were recorded in 2003, shortly after I upgraded to digital recording. A variety of other songs have been included in this make-shift collection at various time. But in about 2010 I conceived of a collection of songs all having what I thought of as a "Colorado sound": elements of Latin, rock, folk, and country run through most of the songs. Despite the common threads, these tunes span a variety of styles and subjects. Perhaps the most common element they have in common, though, is that, as always, I wrote and performed all the parts. |

I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout-out to my old buddy Robert Johnson--not the blues immortal--in whose home I recorded much of this album and who was kind enough to let me include some of his wonderful musical intruments, including real drums and cymbals. Other friends, Linda Bensey and Lindy Tudor, let me use some of their unique collections of percussion instruments. |
